Despite the rigours of world markets and finance, Britian's escape route for now and in the future lies in the application of engineering. Both products and services utilising the latest cutting edge technologies and adding value is largely the only route for the UK. Wealth creation is about innovation, development and selling into the rest of the world for the UK to secure a viable economic future. The Diploma in Engineering particularly has a significant role to play in that development. The provision of a supply of 'work ready' young people at level 3 into engineering employers and into the workplace is critical. TEP is a key supporter of that process.
